Rights of children

Introduction: Rights that particularly belong to children are known as the right of the children .The Geneva Convention of the United Nations identified some basic rights for the children .

Right of children: According to Geneva convention ,children should have the right of protection from all kinds of threats ,the right to live and survive, to education ,to good heaith.Besides,they have rights to healthy physical and mental development ,and not to be forrced into labour .But most of our children do not enjoy these eight .there are some reasons behind this .The main reasons is poverty .Bangladesh is apoor country .Here many people live below the poverty  line .So,the poor children are compelled to work at a very tender age .As a result they do not enjoy their  due rights .besides ,most of the children live in the slums in a very unhygienic environment .Some dishonest people exploit the cheap lobour of the children .Illiteracy of the people also goes against the rights of children .The illiterate people are not conscious of these rights .So the children of such families cannot enjoy these rights.

Conclusion: Our children are the future of our nation .So we must ensure children's rights .For this,raising awareness about the rights of children and implementation of laws against children so that they can have proper education .
